Amourosis fugax
Amourosis fugax is a symptoms referring to transient loss of vision. It is usually due to vascular insufficiency of the brain that affects both eyes. It may be referred to as a mini stroke, therefore, full evaluation to exclude risk factors such as high blood pressure and high blood cholesterol level is indicated.
Doppler ultrasound scan to rule out the narrowing of carotid arteries and identifying any possible source of embolus or clot is the objective of investigations. These tests are organized normally by your GP or at your local hospital.
